The rise and the fall of the hover-board

Many say hoverboards all started in Las Vegas when it rolled into the halls of the Venetian in 2015, it quickly became the most talked about device. Hoverboards started to become popular because of celebrities. A celebrity name Martha Stewart rode a hoverboard to a party she was late for. J.R. smith arrived at the 2015 championship NBA finals on a hoverboard.

Hoverboards wasn't popular for long though. They are slowly slipping into tech history. Within the past few months they became illegal to ride in many places. U.S. officials declared hoverboards unsafe. They are illegal to ride on campus colleges.

Things were beginning to get crazy when rapper J Stax came with a song called "My Hoverboard." People were seen riding their hoverboards on the streets in New York City alongside cars in and out of traffic.

The U.S. consumer product safety commission received numerous reports of injuries on hoverboards. Reports of the battery inside the hoverboards were starting to explode.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa was arrested in Lax airport for riding his hoverboard. Celebrity Mike Tyson was injured after falling off his hoverboard.

boards are officially over. Although they are illegal to ride and many hazardous reports are being held, some people are still selling them behind close doors. BEWARE those that are being sold are not certified.
